Camps, drives and distributions are added here as the club confirms them, usually two to three weeks ahead. Until the club starts sending dates for publication, the monthly meeting above is the reliable one.

What happens at one

A club meeting, in order

Lions clubs everywhere follow the same model agenda, so a visitor knows what is coming next. It usually runs about an hour and a half. Item ten belongs to the Tail Twister, whose job is to fine members good humouredly and keep the room awake.

Lions Club Konankunte follows this agenda. The Lion year runs July to June, and the board changes each July.

  1. Meeting called to order by the President
  2. Flag salutation
  3. One minute silent prayer for world peace
  4. Welcome address by the President
  5. Secretary’s report
  6. Introduction of the chief guest
  7. Address by the chief guest
  8. Interaction time
  9. Tributes to the chief guest
  10. Tail Twister’s time
  11. Vote of thanks
  12. Meeting adjourned
